![]() I might have to try several times to get the "hello." menu, but the front display always light up, but often without any text. I can hear a click about 1 sec or so after I power it on. Still I have no signal out, the jog wheel does not work. ![]() I changed the battery, solded the leads directly to the bottom and top and then the leads to the daughter board. Hi I just got a Sony DPS R7 with a low voltage battery. Yeah i ended up realizing i could just remove the bottom plate - lol - despite having done this before- i totally forgot - so i ended up doing it that way Is it nessecary to remove the daughter board? Removing the daughter board and just clipping out the battery is the safest bet though if you aren't up for some foolish adventure. I used a blend of rocking back and forth and tugging. without damaging the surrounding daughter board components if you have thin steady fingers and a gentle touch. The battery can come off with the terminals still remaining attached. Reckon I'll solder the wire just like in the above pictures only to the terminals. Looks like the terminals have been clipped off entirely in the above post pictures. ![]() I did manage to remove the original battery with minimal bending of its terminals. I took a photo last week when I took the case off. ![]() Prob attached from the underside through the motherboard. do you have to remove the entire motherboard first and desolder?Is it nessecary to remove the daughter board? Hmmm- how on EARTH did you get that daughter board off? can't figure it out. ![]()
